We have built an organization that complements each team member's strengths, which creates an energetic work environment, resulting in a product that far surpasses anything we could do individually.


Kelly Allington

Administrative Assistant

Kelly is an enthusiastic, result-driven individual with the ability to multitask. As an administrative assistant, she makes our clients’ needs her top priority by delivering personalized, focused service.

Prior to Financial Foundations, Kelly was with EMC Corporation for almost 10 years. During her tenure, she worked in Field Marketing and Channel Sales, as well as in the Professional Services organization as a senior program manager delivering sales, operations support, quarterly forecasting, and executive level marketing programs. Prior to EMC Corporation, she was with CSC Consulting for 10 years working as an office manager providing operations, recruiting, and field marketing for its National Consulting Practice.

Kelly and her husband, Steve, have two children, Matthew and Kaitlyn, and live in the Metrowest area. They enjoy cheering their kids on while they run cross country, play lacrosse, and perform drama and dance. In her free time, Kelly enjoys spending time with family and friends, cooking, hiking, and creating memories to last a lifetime. Kelly is also an avid Patriots fan. 

Donald Cullen

Tax Services Manager

Don is the firm's tax services manager and has more than 20 years of experience providing tax-related services for individuals, small businesses, and estates. Don holds a BBA in accounting from Western Michigan University and an MBA from the University of New Hampshire.

Don is an Enrolled Agent (EA) and is licensed to practice before the Internal Revenue Service, as well as an active member of the National Association of Enrolled Agents, Massachusetts Society of Enrolled Agents, and New Jersey Society of Enrolled Agents. 

Throughout the years, Don’s tax experience has grown with the challenges and unique circumstances of each new client. Don’s primary objective is focused on each client’s particular financial and tax situations. He realizes that relationships are important, as is trust. In turn, Don does immense amounts of continuing education each year, as required by the IRS for enrolled agents and for his clients, so they can always depend on him.

Karyn Kingswood

Executive Assistant

Karyn has a dynamic and approachable personality, enabling her to interact with our clients in an empathetic and compassionate way, all while ensuring that their concerns are addressed.

Karyn grew up in England and is a graduate from Bristol Polytechnic with a BA (honors) in town and country planning. As a town planner, Karyn acquired a background in customer service and investment planning, which she was able to maximize in the U.S. in financial services.

Before joining Financial Foundations in February 2016, Karyn worked at Boston Partners Financial Group in Andover, Massachusetts, as an executive assistant for nearly eight years. She supported financial advisors in all aspects of financial planning with an emphasis on client satisfaction.

Karyn has a son in England who is a policeman and twin girls living in the U.S. In her spare time, Karyn enjoys traveling, visiting family and friends in England, hiking, and watching Liverpool Football Club.

Ani Mikitarian

Communications Specialist

Ani’s unique ability is her creative mindset and positive attitude.

As a communications specialist, Ani's role revolves around creating a first-rate client experience. From planning memorable events and designing unique marketing collateral, to implementing corporate communications, social media, and web design strategies, Ani works to provide clients with a level of service that goes beyond the typical financial services firm. 

Before joining the Financial Foundations team in March 2016, Ani held marketing internships at the Hanover Insurance Group and Tyco Security Products in Worcester and Westford, Massachusetts, respectively. These positions gave her valuable insight into successful marketing practices, which she has brought with her to this role. Ani graduated cum laude from Bryant University in Smithfield, Rhode Island, with a BS in marketing and a minor in Spanish. 

Ani was born and raised in Central Massachusetts and resides in Boylston. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, cooking, and photography.

Michelle Morrissey

Chief Operating Officer

Michelle's passion for helping clients and her attention to detail enables her to excel within corporate processes and in the heavily regulated financial services industry.

With more than 15 years’ experience in the financial services industry at Financial Foundations, Michelle’s role is an integral part of the success of the firm. As the chief operating officer, Michelle oversees the backstage operations at Financial Foundations, including all legal and compliance, trading, human resources, technology, new business processing, quarterly reporting, financial plan creation, and licensing.

Michelle earned her bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of Rhode Island. Upon graduation, Michelle began working at Financial Foundations and quickly mastered the ins and outs of creating and streamlining operational process that have contributed to the overall success and growth of the firm.

In accordance with FINRA regulations, Michelle obtained her FINRA Series 7, 24, and 63 securities registrations, which are held through Commonwealth Financial Network®.

Michelle and her husband, Dennis, have three daughters—twins, Sidney and Sophia, and their little sister, Abby. Outside the office, Michelle can be found spending time with her family, watching her daughters learn pirouettes during dance class, or cheering on her favorite sports team, the Boston Red Sox.

Sherri Taylor

Director of Communications and Strategic Integration

Sherri is passionate about creating lasting impressions on people’s lives. This is evident in her work designing events and marketing collateral. Sherri has a unique ability to take in the big picture, as well as the small but important details, that help form long-lasting memories.

As director of communications and integration strategy, Sherri is able to maximize her vast experience working with financial advisor offices, marketing, and event planning. Her responsibilities focus on planning, developing, and implementing marketing strategies, communications, and public relations activities. In addition, she directs corporate efforts for the creation and delivery of integration strategy, process, planning, and execution resulting from company merger and acquisition activity. 

Sherri joined Financial Foundations in June 2015. Prior to joining our team, she spent 15 years at Commonwealth Financial Network® in practice management overseeing field outreach programs and planning conferences as a member of the Conferences and Events team. This was preceded by five years in sales and marketing for hotels. Sherri has a bachelor’s degree from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst in hospitality and tourism management.

Sherri resides in Shrewsbury with her husband, David, and her two children, Jacob and Emma. In her free time, Sherri can be found cheering on her children at various football, hockey, and soccer games. She also enjoys traveling with her family, relaxing with a good book, or playing with her two golden retrievers.
